Flashbacks show Touhy entering the prison in 1934 and John Factor ("Jake the Barber") testifying at his kidnapping trial. Part 2, football: Cornell vs. Army; Iowa Pre-Flight vs. Michigan. Part 3, Brazil's Pres. Vargas and Sec. of Navy Knox observe Brazil's Naval Academy graduation ceremonies. Shows Sugarloaf Mt. and the Statue of Christ in Rio de Janeiro. Part 4, a merchant seaman is decorated for heroism. Part 5 shows doll likenesses of Presidents' wives. Part 6 shows a soldier and his wife at a Women's Army Corp (WAC) recruiting station. A widow and her son join the Army.

William Franklin "Frank" Knox (January 1, 1874 – April 28, 1944) was an American politician, newspaper editor and publisher. He was also the Republican vice presidential candidate in 1936, and Secretary of the Navy under Franklin D. Roosevelt during most of World War II.
